I have played a bit of black ops and no mw3 yet, but I am in the process of buying my own gaming computer just to get mw2. I always played at my brothers house but I moved, we played together. Getting your boys together and rolling some homies on this game is the funnest thing I have ever done next to the ex wife. I'm a guy, what can I say, since I started playing this 2.5 yrs ago, I think of nothing else, even if I haven't played in months, not a day goes by where I am not thinking about sniping some hoes, laugh out loud, it is the best game of all time. I may be a bit unfair to Call of Duty 1-4, since they were all pretty good and deserve their praise, but Call of Duty World at War is my all time favorite Call of Duty game so far and its pretty much the last really good Call of Duty game.
The campaign is just phenomenal, just when I thought I was getting sick of WWII games, this game comes along and does things with it. I mean sure the campaign is mediocre T.V. movie quality good, but for a game its amazing.
For one thing the Pacific theater is finally shown in a Call of Duty game. The camaraderie for the marine characters is well felt, you get to know some of them, fight by them and feel bad when one of them dies. The Pacific theater really captures that surprise attack feel of it whenever the Japanese would attack. The Japanese hide in whatever they can, and its surprising enough to be real to the actual battles (as far as video games go) but not so much that it becomes annoying when trying to pass it.

One of the best campaigns of all the Call of Duty's with well developed characters and one of the most evil villain in Call of Duty history, not only that but what ever you do in the campaign affects the ending. Zombies is better than ever with 3 different modes you can play, the multiplayer is one of the best too, cause it requires you to play the objective to win the game. But what I really like about black ops 2 is that it is different from the other Call of Duty's, all the other Call of Duty's were usually re-hashes of previous ones, but this one is much more different and more fun than most of the others

Its got as good as a story, and as well developed characters as a typical Michael Bay film. I mean if you're a big Michael Bay fan, I guess I can see where you're coming from.
The all time great for me, the reason behind this? Well let me just start with the Treyarch. Building on Black Ops 1 I was really hyped for BO2, I enjoyed MW3, mostly for the MOABS. However picking up BO2 in November, learning the game and I remember it being kinda futuristic and thought it might be to much (how wrong I had). Buying the first DLC streaking out with the Peacekeeper playing the new DLC maps. The feeling of that first Nuclear was god damn amazing, loved hunting for those, god damn it was amazing. Why does this stand above every other COD? Exclude what I just said, I feel the time when BO2 was released and played to their peek every other element associated with COD was riding all time high. BO2 introduced league play, which made the public even more interested with professional gaming brands as Optic, which also lead to YouTube COD creators felt a rise in that. Great game. Really amazing. The killstreaks are really good. There are many new game modes. The graphics haven't improved very much but I don't care. A lot like Modern Warfare 2.
Although it has a lot of flaws, the core gameplay: movement, aiming and shooting was flawless and has never again been achieved in the following titles. Best 'feel' in terms of lack of clunkiness and rubberband-motion. Also no unnecessary flying, sliding and jumping around.

This game took me 18 hours to beat, and let me tell you this, I had one heck of a time. Let me start off and say that the graphics in this game are about four times better than the graphics in the original Call of Duty. The campaign is not very good, as Call of Duty campaigns go. The campaign is basically a copy of the original's campaign, but with better graphics and more guns added. Not many people play the campaign, so I'll move onto the multiplayer aspects. The multiplayer is about as good as Call of Duty 2's multiplayer, except of course, there are more guns! Everybody knows that the more guns the better, so the multiplayer is pretty good! I enjoyed this game beginning to end and I will remember it as a good time waster when I should have been working on my eighth grade project for school. If I had to rate this game on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 5. If I rated it on a scale of 1 to 10 back in the day, I would probably give it an 8.
9Call of DutyThis was the purest one of them all. Don't confuse this with Finest Hour. The console adaptations were terrible. Call of Duty 2 added the hit-marker system which changed the gameplay and lowered the quality.
This game had the best multiplayer experience of them all. The maps had the best layout ever. You actually worked as a team. You actually engaged in battles rather than running around blindly and clumsily bumping into someone with Quickdraw Pro. Far more tactical than the others. You can actually chill and snipe without getting crept up on; sniping wasn't as dramatic of a game-changer as in new ones. The weapon loadouts were specific to the country/team you were on. Each country had its one advantageous weapon.
This game required skill. SERIOUS SKILL. No radar. Tactics were as critical as they are in the Rainbow Six series. I would love to see someone in MW3 try to get one kill with a scopeless Mosin Nagant or Kar98k.

I agree this game should be number one, Without it there would be no Call of Duty. I played this game over and over and tried to touch ever piece of landscape and see every part of the game, at its time it was my favorite game.
The only good Call of Duty game in my humble opinion. This is the pinnacle of Call of Duty. I personally like knowing that there is going to be a set number of enemies in a level. I liked how that when your team mates were killed they were dead, not just some endless wave of useless men. I liked how you had health and didn't just need to sit behind cover for a couple of seconds, you had to think carefully before running through a firefight. No. Knife. Now most prats won't know this. But they had a thing called a rifle butt, and a bayonet. Strangely enough they wouldn't whip out a knife, they would beat someone down with a rifle butt, or stab them with the bayonet at the end of their rifle. The only problem I have with this is that it spawned so many bastard children that should have been aborted not born and raised.
And one last things ladies and gents. Call of Duty didn't revolutionize the lone wolf run and gun style gameplay that has become synonymous with Call of Duty. That ..more
I loved this game. It took me eight hours to beat. This was the start to a legendary shooter series. The graphics were mind-blowing back in 2003, but nowadays they are very bad. The campaign is good and has a few amazingly hard missions, even today. One mission I remember in particular is called Stalingrad. I know, it is a historical event and I guess I should be acknowledging that, but I'm talking about the mission in a game from 2003. Stalingrad took me two hours to beat, which is a fourth of what I spent beating the entire game. Multiplayer was a great experience back in 2003. Not many people play the original Call of Duty anymore, but when people did, it was amazing how you could get five kills within one minute of sniping people with a scoped Mosin Nagant. No guns were too overpowered, but they all felt like they were. This game is important history in people's lives.

Easily the worst Call of Duty, even worse than ghosts. Not because of the exos, not because its different, but it was just an absolutely terribly put together game. The weapons were balanced like they didn't test the game once, so many glitches everywhere, terrible spawns due to the exos allowing people to get from spawn to spawn very quickly, animations were terrible, they kept adding more and more effortless/lazily built bull in the game so they could keep getting money without having to focus on making the game better, exo zombies was an absolute joke, campaign was slightly disappointing for how good it could have been, and overall just an absolutely abysmal game. And yes, I also do hate the exos on top of all that because they drastically decreased the skill gap. When all you have to do to avoid getting shot is jump in the air and dash to the side at 30mph its pretty easy for just about anyone to buy themselves enough time to land a few shots and win the gunfight. As a long time fan of the franchise, I can only say that this one right here is the best game in the series. After getting used to the exo, (this takes Call of Duty to a whole new level in terms of enjoyment) the game becomes much easier to get around, a lot faster, and a lot more fun, at least in my opinion, one of the reasons we play these games is because we like fast paced games! We don't like waiting around or being patient, we want quick gameplay! And that's what this game provides for the community. Weapon variants, online multiplayer character customization, and supply drops are really cool additions to this franchise and just make the game more addicting in my opinion. As much as I love the other Call of Duties, it was difficult to go back and play the other ones after I experienced Advanced Warfare and honestly.. I don't even want to go back! It's that fun of a game!

This was my first video game, I had so many memories of it. From the times of piloting a tank to the first squad member dying. When it took you into the B-24, I had my breath taken away. It went so much more in depth than the Call of Duty of today, making you search for ammo and health at the most desperate of times.

This is such a great came, although it could have improved on the multiplayer aspect. Don't get me wrong, it had a great multiplayer, but I feel like if the developers spent more time making a few more maps and weapons in the base game (pushing back the release date, but that would be fine considering the quality would be boosted in terms of consumer happiness), This would have been a much better all around game/. I say all around instead of just multiplayer because if guns were added, this could easily transfer to the game's campaign and zombies modes. I understand that Activision was looking for quality over quantity, I get that, but the Call Of Duty franchise has been more of a quantity over quality thing in the past, so it seemed a bit awkward to have a change like this in my gaming experience. It's the perfect combination of simplicity, skill and history. I know it's not exactly an 'original story' like some of the other Call of Duty's but for Activision to go back to good old Boots on the Ground warfare is amazing. I just wish I could play as much I used to before having kids. The campaign is fun and surprising different from your average WW2 FPS. They do a good job of trying to make the player care about the other characters and feel for the joy and pain. The feel of the weapons are remembrance of WaW as well, which was personally my favorite Call of Duty game.

Call of Duty: Black ops zombies is very epic. The best map in MY opinion if of course Kino der toten mostly I played it the most and I know all the strategies in that map. My favourite gun is the zeuscannon. Last but not least storyline is very interesting.

Most fun multiplayer experience where you could choose a bolt action rifle, sub-machine gun, tank, jeep, etc., and never have an overwhelming advantage. The only leveling up was done each round so it depended on actually how good you were versus how many hours you played, and everyone starts with the same load-out. So many hours enjoyed playing this game!
First Call of Duty to include capture the flag. The large maps with vehicles were excellant. In a franchise defined by multiplayer this game had the best multiplayer, as well as being the most innovative. (Introduced sprint, smoke grenades, and leveling, albeit temporary. )

Honestly I did find some enjoyment to this game. But it was just something I would not play all day everyday like I would with Call of Duty Ghost. I know it was on a Portable device and of course it can't compare with console gaming, but this Call of Duty was more of a disappointment. But I do have to say this has improved ever since on the Nintendo DS. If you compare this game to the old Call of Duty's DS it has become a major difference. The graphics are higher now but the campaign is very sloppy. Also the multiplayer was a little challenging. But this could be the next step to making Call of Duty great on a mobile device. I really hope they make another Call of Duty on a Portable device and make it better than this game, but if your willing to try this out you better have your'e receipt.
Worst Call of Duty after Infinite Warfare and BO: Declassified - TriggerTrashKid
It was a good, honest effort for a mobile Call of Duty experience that just simply did not work very well. They even tried giving Nuketown (Nukehouse) a spot in this Black Ops game to give you a feeling that you were still playing a Call of Duty game, but sometimes nostalgia is just not enough. The game felt very clunky and stiff, really taking away the competitive side of the game that simply made the full experience into avoiding the multiplayer and blindly spraying and praying on the campaign until you broke on through to to the end of the story. Unless portable gaming devices are then designed to be held like a home console controller, ( which we all know probably wouldn't look very pretty ), online multiplayer, FPS games will just not be able find a suitable home in portable gaming. Personally owning a ps vita and this game, the multiplayer is laughably bad, you literally spawn in front of the 4 players on the enemy team. Campaign can be beat in 30 minutes. Personally at the beginning I thought the whole space idea was stupid. I then played the beta after one of my friends gave me a code and right after that, I instantly fell in love with the game. By the way people shouldn't be hating on a game that they never played as well (such as the battlefield fan boys). I think it is a really good game you just have to get use to the space theme they got going on but if you play it for some time it get better and better one thing is the game shuffels the players so you come in a match were you might be the one in the lowest level and other times you might be the one in the highest level and maybe its just my rank in the world but I think it's a really good game 55 in the world
